Honest gaps

What GIS Workbench doesn't do

These SOCET GXP capabilities are not available in GIS Workbench today. Several depend on enterprise servers, licensed government libraries or live network feeds that a serverless browser application deliberately avoids.

Methodology

How we compared

  • The SOCET GXP baseline is version 4.6.1.1, built from publicly available product documentation, release notes and training material as of October 2026. Bundle tiers and add-ons are counted as part of SOCET GXP.
  • Each GIS Workbench status is backed by implemented code and an automated test traced to a numbered requirement.
  • Full means the capability is available for normal analyst use. Partialmeans it exists with the limits stated. Not supported means it is absent or out of scope.
  • The coverage figure counts Full and Partial against the 75 capabilities SOCET GXP offers. It compares breadth, not depth, speed or accreditation.
  • GIS Workbench makes no claim of MSP, CSM, JITC NITF, STANAG or ISM conformance or certification. Its implementations are designed to follow the relevant public standards.
